We are currently making guitar effects, a Pseudo LAN-C remote for the Canon HV20/30/40 video cameras, working on some music projects and all-around tinkering. So, the direction of our company changed from IT/Communications to Audio and Video production/communications and general DIY hacker-type stuff.

If you are serious about videography, you have a Canon HV20/30/40 HD video camera. If you're serious about your Canon HV20/30/40, you need to get our pseudo DIY LANC controller.
Our controller comes with a brand new remote bought from Canon (battery included), but hacked to extend the IR LED to the front of the camera.
The plate is 20 gauge galvanized that should be around .039 inches thick. We don't include a mount for the remote to your tripod as that's a personal choice where to put it, plus one design can not work on all tripods. Velcro works great (what I use). Duct tape is the poor man's choice of fastener
